Bellingen Seminar - The Heart of the Sutra Path

24 - 26 June 2022

The Treasury of Blessings and "The Sage who Dispels Mind’s Anguish"

The great sage Jamgon Mipham wrote a beautiful practice of recollecting the Buddha entitled The Treasury of Blessing, together with an extensive commentary entitled The White Lotus Commentary. This commentary was distilled by Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche into its essence for the practice of meditation. It is this text, together with the practice itself, that we will study. Entitled "The Sage who Dispels Mind’s Anguish", it covers the indispensable practices of shamatha and vipashyana.

The Treasury of Blessings is practised online in Siddhartha's Intent Australia in our daily meditation sessions, in the weekly Monday meditation practices, and also on the Buddha Days. Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche's instructions offer the key to integrating this practice in our general practice of meditation and clarifying what we mean with shamatha and vipashyana.
