Northern Rivers seminars: Nature of Reality & Pure Perception
Seminars with Jakob Leschly
Saturday 16 February 10am-4pm
- Seeing the Nature of Reality (Seminar)
In approaching enlightenment, our perspective needs to be free from acquired bias and dogmas, as well the habitual ignorance that drives our confusion and suffering. Based on a short text by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo that brilliantly sums up the Middle Way or Madhyamaka teachings. For anyone wishing to understand the radical view of Buddhism, and essential for any practicing the path.
Sunday 17 February 10am-4pm
- The Science of Pure Perception (Seminar)
Throughout Tibetan Buddhism we find the Vajrayana practice of deity, mantra, and mandala. While we might have faith in these practices, understanding the logic of these methods will provide much greater certainty and joy in the training of pure perception. We will look at the logical reasoning that is the foundation of this greater and more accurate perspective. This study will be based on texts by great sages such as Rongzom Pandita, Longchenpa and Jamgon Mipham.
Jakob Leschly has been appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche as a resident teacher in Australia. Most of Siddhartha's Intent Australia’s workshops, retreats and study groups are conducted by him.
