2018 Siddhartha's Intent Australia Program

Northern Rivers: Meditation and Compassion with Jangchub Haubner

30 June 2018
9:30am - 2:30pm

An Introduction for Beginners

Lismore, Saturday 30th June 2018

Meditation and compassion are the hallmarks of Buddhism.  Learning to settle the body and mind through meditation has been practiced by ordinary people through to sages for millennia.  Through this practice we are aspiring to open our hearts and minds with compassion for others and including ourselves.  Jangchub will kindly guide us in an experiential morning of meditation and this will seamlessly embody the necessary compassion into the afternoon.

Jangchub Haubner has been a student of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche for 30 years.  During this time she has been actively involved with Vajradhara Gonpa and was requested by Rinpoche to become an instructor for Siddhartha's Intent Australia at Vajradhara Gonpa in 1995.  Jangchub completed a three year retreat in France under Pema Wangyal Rinpoche in 2006.  Subsequently she was one of the supervisors for the second three year retreat at Vajradhara Gonpa in the first and last year.  Jangchub's main emphasis is in the area of compassion, meditation and has been most instrumental in Pastoral Care for Buddhist practitioners or people who are open to the spiritual values of the Buddha's teachings, to assist them through both healthy living, the dying process and to provide support for their families.
